Breakfast is served from 08:00-10:00 on weekdays. A buffet style lunch is served each weekday from 11:45-14:00, though there is a salad bar, pasta and soup also available. Brunch - a Hatfield favourite consisting of your choice of 7 options - takes place at the weekends from 11:30-13:30 (though there is a continental breakfast served from 08:00-11:00). Any changes to normal meal times are announced each week in the JCR and Weekly Welfare emails, and advertised around college in advance.
A choice of vegetarian options are included at each meal service, including formal meals. Any particular dietary requirements can be catered for so please contact our Food and Beverage Services Manager, Will Green, upon arrival to college.

Livers-in are required to bring their campus card (issued during Freshers Week) to each meal service. Temporary meal cards can be found at the Porter's Lodge if you are missing your campus card. If you have misplaced your campus card, you must go to the Bill Bryson Library and pay a small fee to get this replaced.

Hatfielders are very fond of our catering team, who have been rewarded on multiple occasions for excellent food and service. The views of the JCR are represented to the catering team by the Facilities Officer, JCR Secretary and the Food Reps who sit on the college's Catering Working Groups. If you have any feedback, make sure to let them know!

Monday-Friday

Breakfast: 08:00-10:00
Lunch: 11:45-14:00
Dinner: 17:30-19:30


Formal Nights:
Dinner: 17:00-18:00 (There will also be late dinner at another college, usually Castle or St. Cuthbert's)
Formals: 18:30 for a 19:00 start


Saturday & Sunday

Continental Breakfast: 08:00-11:00
Brunch: 11:30-13:30
Dinner: 17:00-19:00

If you have commitments that mean you cannot make a meal you can sign up for a packed meal. Simply contact the catering staff for more information.
